My inspiration for fine jewellery originates from the Middle East where I spent many years living, studying and working. In this region precious metals and fine gemstones have always had a special cultural significance and I was captivated by the symbolism, the appreciation of fine craftsmanship and the timelessness of fine jewellery.

My affinity to the region, its peoples and culture ultimately lead me to study Arabic at Exeter University and, after graduating, I went on to spend a number of years editing a bi-lingual magazine which was published in the Middle East. Throughout this period the idea of designing and creating my own jewellery never faded.

I went on to study Design, Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts at the Sir John Cass School of Art and Design in London. This was an inspirational period in which I was privileged to have the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented professional jewellers. I was also given invaluable exposure and introductions to a number of individuals and specialist companies whose skills, products and resources play a key role in my ability to fulfil my clients’ requirements.

The majority of my time is now spent on private commissions though I do produce a range of pieces to my own designs.
